Parental Eye Magazine is a bi-monthly educational resource published by Loud Voice Publishing Limited. Launched in September 2004, the magazine is primarily aimed at the parents of children who are educated in state-funded schools in England and Wales.

The magazine is an independent voice on educational issues from a parental perspective and was set up by a group of parents in response to a number of concerns, such as parental involvement, home-school relations and levels of achievement. The magazine is a source of news, information and resources for parents who recognise the vital role they play in their children's learning and want to know how they can help their children achieve their best.

Parental Eye Magazine has a campaigning focus. We believe that a parent is an integral part of their child's learning programme, that learning does not start and stop when children enter and leave the classroom, and that parents should therefore be recognised as part of the professional network responsible for primary and secondary education provision.

Parental Eye Magazine wants to see:

  • more parents involved in the major debates and policy-making processes which eventually become initiatives that affect their children
  • a higher profile of the importance of parental responsibility and education partnership among parents, local authorities and the Government
  • more initiatives to understand, reach and support those parents who have traditionally had little or no active input into their children’s education
  • more awareness among parents of the curriculum their children are following and more involvement in school events and meetings

Parental Eye Magazine endeavours to work in partnership with individuals and agencies towards this end.

Please contact us if you are an organisation or person who would like to find out more about how we can work together to support parents and parental input into children’s education.
